The Dayliff DSD 3/7 is a submersible multistage centrifugal pump built for reliable domestic and small-scale water extraction from wells and boreholes. With a maximum head of 80m and a minimum borehole diameter requirement of 110mm, it suits the majority of residential borehole installations across Kenya.
The pump housing, shaft, and shaft coupling are AISI 304 stainless steel, while the impellers and diffusers are polycarbonate plastic and the delivery and suction chambers are cast iron – a combination that delivers strong sand-handling capability and long service life. It comes complete with 30m submersible cable and a control box featuring a built-in capacitor and electrical overload protection.
The motor is a sealed, liquid-cooled, 2-pole asynchronous squirrel-cage type, running at 2,850 RPM and rated for single-phase 240V supply. For enhanced protection against dry running, motor overload, and voltage irregularities, a Dayliff SCM/SCT electronic pump controller is recommended.
